Who is Lorraine Maguire Photography?

HI & WELCOME……….SO HAPPY YOU ARE HERE!

My name is Lorraine and I’m a family and newborn baby photographer based in Leixlip, Co. Kildare. My style of photography can be described as lifestyle, which sits comfortably between documentary photography and traditional portraiture. My family photography sessions are relaxed & fun and perfect for laid back families that love to be outdoors, enjoying their surroundings. My newborn photography sessions are held in the comfort of your own family home, which makes them comfy, cosy and that bit extra special. I focus on capturing real family connections and shared moments that can be cherished for a lifetime. Keep reading to find out more about Lorraine Maguire Photography.

I also offer a school photography service to a select number of schools, creches, pre-schools, Montessori and daycares. Using natural light, I create beautiful fine art school portraits of children that are simple, unique, timeless and artistic. No posing or forced smiles to be found here!

MY BACKGROUND

I wasn’t always a photographer. After school, I studied chemistry at university and worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 10 years. While I enjoyed my career, I was always torn between my technical side and my creative side…enter the world of photography! A passion that satisfies both. So I took a leap of faith, started studying photography, eventually resigned from my secure, full-time job and set up my very own photography business! #feelthefearanddoitanyway

WHY PHOTOGRAPHY

I am obsessed with photos, always have been….I can happily sit for hours looking through old family photos, remembering the moments shared, the laughter, the joy and sometimes the tears. I believe its important to capture these special moments in time, to remember them forever. Photos beautifully document our lives, our children lives, they record our history to be shared with generations to come.

WHAT I DO & WHY I LOVE IT

My gift is to capture these moments…..be it a child as they grow and progress through the school years…..or a family, first as a couple, then as they become three, four, five…….. Time passes so quickly and children grow up too fast so now is the time to book. I will create beautiful images of your children and family that you can cherish, share with family & friends and to look back at to remember how cute your kids are and the fun times you’ve enjoyed.

I love spending time with family, hanging out with friends and I would be privileged to work with you and yours. My sessions are relaxed and fun and I’m here to guide you through the entire experience, ensuring that its an enjoyable one…..even for those of you who are camera shy, or worry your children may run amuck! Let me take care of everything…

A BIT MORE ABOUT LORRAINE MAGUIRE PHOTOGRAPHY

When I’m not working, I love to travel, be outdoors, read, cook and occasionally binge on a new TV show! I’ve been all over the world…Australia, America, Asia and Europe and love to recreate the cultures I’ve experienced by cooking new receipes at home….my favourites being Asian, Greek and Mexican!

Thanks for reading……….and I’l leave you with this……..

LIFE’S TOO SHORT, SO FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS AND BE HAPPY
